Something’s got to give

I work at a nice place. Amazing views and good people. I signed up for 5 days per week, 6 hours a day because my expenses are low and the income from my writing helps.

However, due to circumstances, I pulled down 92 hours last pay period and I’ve lost at least a month’s worth of writing time because of the seven-day workweeks these past three months. A new girl did start yesterday and she’s great so far. A former co-worker will be coming back at the end of next week and that’s a good thing.

So, my NaNo deadline is fucked but I do see a light at the end of the tunnel that is not a train because something’s got to give and it sure as heck isn’t my novel. Meanwhile, I have tapped an artist who may be interested in illustrating The Scapegoat Suicides. He’s amazing and I am looking forward to seeing his vision of the scenes and the characters that have been spewed out in written form. I have not seen many illustrations in mainstream novels lately and I think that should change.

Share the vision with the readers. Share the wealth with the artists.
