Eye of the Hawk

I am chugging along. I appreciate the characters I work with and I appreciate my housemates for letting me drink their booze when I’m broke. “It ebbs and flows,” H1 said as she poured me a glass of her wine.

I am revising “The Sexoricism of Miriam Flack”. At this point, I have changed the title to “The Unfortunate Princess” because I think the keyword ‘princess’ may attract some hits. I’ve also replaced the cover for the time being. I perused other images that I would rather use but I cannot afford the licensing fees and must go with what I’ve already purchased (or taken myself and that is not as easy as one might think).

I will make another pass over the manuscript when I have finished my current project. I am polishing up a science fiction novella (written under my other name) and will be handing it off to a couple of beta-readers and then climbing back into Miriam’s tower.

My prime beta-reader said the book is good but it’s not romance and it’s not pure erotica so it may take a while to find an audience. The most important thing to do right now is write another book. I’m not a publicist and I have no desire to do much marketing (unless it involves wine and some more wine and maybe some small talk but no guarantees).

Even though I made almost exactly enough to buy a six-pack of Eye of the Hawk on book sales this past month, I think a little tweaking of the manuscript is in order. Fortunately, my day job keeps a roof over my head and food in my belly (I quality assure everything I make… hard to believe I’ve lost over 30 pounds since I started working as a fry cook).

Thanks to the friends and family that bought my first erotica book but won’t read it because of the anal sex. I understand.
